Our initial reaction to this book was that it may not sell well in North-east Scotland as the word "wean" isn't used here. Then we thought that it would be a great way for parents to let their children know that there are three Scots words for child - bairn, wean and littlin! Here's a wee taster . .
This book, compiled by The Reading Bus, Aberdeen follows the success of the Doric book of verse "Fit Like Yer Majesty" and is again a true celebration of the culture and linguistic heritage of North-east Scotland.
